The “First” European Championship
The Open European Championship 2011 is the first champioship in which all the three best players come from Europe.
The winner is the “unique” Hungarian player present at OEMC 2011, Ildikò Hargitai. The second place goes to Martin Faartoft from Denmark and the third place of the podium is for the Dutch Leni Janssen that was the leader of the ranking during a lot of rounds.
The winner of the team competition is French Team no1 with Antony Ea, Christian Enault, Sebastien Roux and Brigitte Sandarom.

Nine Gates reached the second place with the Dutch Eveline Broers, Leni Janssen, Chris Janssen and the Italian Claudio Porrati.
Third place for Upper 4 with Shi Hua Chen Kold, Tina Christensen (new president of European Mahjong Association), Martin Faartoft and Jesper Willemoes Hansen.
